The important thing is that you have to go to your original delivering dealer; they have the specific "package" for your particular VIN. You can't stop by some other dealer for a quick fix because it is convenient. If you have bought a previously-owned '08, you will have to determine who the original dealer was.
Any smart service department can look your car up to see what specific package the car needs. You just have to call them ahead of time. There's no way I'm driving to Linden UT to get my upgrade. - sheureka

No. The required, official, legal door jamb replacement VIN sticker that comes with the physical package is pre-printed with the vehicle's VIN and sent to the original delivering dealer. The original VIN sticker has to be removed, accounted for, and returned to "somewhere," for which the dealer is responsible.

Is it possible to have the package transferred between dealers? Dunno, but there is a specific package for a specific VIN. If it can't be transferred, Happy Motoring.
All four of the dealers I've talked to about this have said it's not a problem. First of all, my VIN sticker doesn't have to be replaced so for me that's not an issue. But before we figured that out they all said the sticker could just be sent wherever it needed to go. - sheureka

With the 2.0 Update, the driver can activate manual mode with the paddle shifters. How do you get back to automatic mode?

The only way I've found so far is to move the gear-selector left to manual mode, then back right again to automatic. That seems inconvenient. I think there's probably an easier way that I'm missing!
Just hold the right (+) paddle up for a couple of seconds and it goes back to auto. - sheureka
