some of you may know this and some may not....just in case

when in manual mode you can mash the throttle hard and the transmission will kick down (like passing gear) but you will still need to upshift from there

Actually, you don't.......................
IF you just leave your foot to the floor, the smart WILL shift in the red zone

...wellllll...not all smart shift by themselves....some will even go beyond the red zone and that's when the heart start beating at the same rate as the engine...
