If you mean the plastic push pins, most of those should be replaceable with a compatible generic one. Some years ago I bought a variety kit and pick and choose from it as needed.

It could be, I'm not sure of what exact fastener you're referring to, but I find that on the oddball cases where a generic fastener doesn't work I can modify the part or otherwise make something to do the task when there's no way to get the original parts anymore.
Between the accessibility of CNC and 3D printing, the possibilities for maintaining a car past the manufacturer's support are pretty good; the challenge then beomes modelling a good replacement.
