went to back out and go to my go dialysis. car started ok and shifted in to gear....only the car did not move in D or R. no lines or codes. shifted back and forth several times with no luck until I put the car in manual then it would shift in to reverse.

any ideas?

I've had this happen a few times. It seems the computers sometimes get confused and don't react to input. I find a restart the best remedy to confused computers.

been there, Has happened a few times and after trying all the gears, I usually do a restart and it works fine. Darn Computers!!!

..I know you know this ...but just in case...if the park brake handle is up a notch or less the car will selec gear but not move until you make it move by applying some gas pedal...

Jetfuel...then again....darn computers...

thanks jetfuel......but Florida is soooo FLAT that I never touch the E brake so like MM and jim say, it must be the computers. I worked with mainframes and minis for 27 years and I swear they have personalities!
