I doubt you will find an upgraded clutch from any of the regular manufactures. There just isn't the demand there for a smart. What I would recommend is find a good, reputable clutch/drivertrain shop and have one custom made. If you have any local race tracks, like a dirt track, ARCA/NASCAR etc., find out who those guys use. That's the shop you want to go talk to. Usually, you can take them your disc, and they can rebuild it with custom facings, like Kevlar or something similar. Tell them what you are doing, and what it's for. They should be able to hook you up.
I would have to agree. The OP is planning some upgrades(per another thread), but I think he is kind of putting the cart before the horse. But if he is intent on doing upgrades, I think my previous post is what he needs to do.
I have ordered a 4.0 bar fuel pressure regulator, Forge Diverter Valve kit and TIK hose. I am sending my ECU to OE tuning next week while I am out of town.
Looking forward to a little better driving experience!!!

That was after "editing" too.
Could be better and I probably will cut some dead air...
With the Smart Connect App upon us, I have been faced with a problem. The Plastic Smartphone "cradle" that came with my 453 is (simply put) Amazing! I plugged it in and of course to much disappointment realized that my phone was too big. I enjoy my large mobile device and was let...
I have 125,000 on my 08 smart. I love this car and want to keep it. Of late she seems to be very tired, has anyone rebuilt their motor? I am looking for any info or advise. I have looked but can only fined replacement engines.
I got stuck in a snowbank this morning, and got to thinking that it would have been a lot easier to get out if not for the open differential. Anyone know of any LSD that will fit in the gearbox? Even one of those crappy Phantom Grips would probably be good enough for a stock 451.
