Has anyone tried the Vololights with their ED? Looks like a cool option to trigger your brake lights when regening.

If you install a resistor in the line, it should not matter if it isn't CANBUS compatible. We don't have message centers that will bug us if an incorrect voltage is detected. You will just get a rapid turn signal flash. The resistor will stop the rapid flash and should satisfy the Volo as well.

Or you can use a fuse block, which is a more expensive and (IMO) unnecessary way to go about it.

You can use a fuse block of some sort to pull 12VDC power from the motorcycle to power these devices without setting off false alerts in your mototrcycle's monitoring system. Customers have recommended fuzeblock.com with good results. A simple Google search for 'CANBus fuse block' will net additional options. Check with your dealer for installation of the fuse block
