the 2013 smart Brabus finally arrived today. It was a long wait due to weather in the Chicago area but she is safe in Tennessee now. I am please that everything is as good as it is considering I bought her sight unseen. I do have a service flap latch broken on the right side. I have a lot of detailing to do as the previous owner carried his/her dog around in the car. But I am equipped and supplied and enjoy detailing cars. I plan to change the brake fluid, replace the coolant, transmission oil and upgrade the shocks and brakes. Should keep me out of trouble for a while.

Any suggestions from forum members are always appreciated.

But they sell it each one (right and left), right? Or by pair?
Thank you
They sell them as a pair. The right/left is in reference to the driver's position. Right being for countries that drive on the wrong side of the road and left for the rest of us.

BTW, it only took 16 days to receive them.

Right hand drive is for USA, Mexico, etc and Left for UK and other countries.

Yes, a pair (L/R) is often noted by PN A4518201159/1259 and usually only available in Europe.

I ordered ar my MB shop exactly those 1159 and 1259 instead of 0959/1059 by mistake because I am in Mexico and rhe Smart is the same here and USA

Do u know what is the difference(s) in the 1159/1259 headlights for Europe and the 0959 and 1059 headlights ??

To see if I could use it/install it in my Smart, I really hope so

Believe that the number discrepancies denote version changes?

Decoder ring...

Mercedes usually uses this format 123 820 41 64 (3 digits, 3 digits, 2 digits, and 2 digits). This is the p/n for a Driver's side tail light lens for a 123.

-The first three digits (123 820 41 64) are the chassis the part was first used on. This number can also be the engine number as well as other numbers.

-The second set of three digits (123 820 41 64) refers to which Group the part belongs to (ie. brakes, suspension, etc...). 820 refers to Body Electrical. This number is also used in the Factory Service Manual, group 82 section with all the body electrical service info.

-The first set of two digits (123 820 41 64) refers to which version of the part it is. Meaning there could be several versions or runs of one, part each with a slight modification. We have the 41 version of the lens.

-The last two numbers (123 820 41 64) are the part number in the master listing. In the number above we have the 64th part in the Body Electrical Group.
