What species are ultragauge users using to trigger alarms from driving conditions!

I'd set the alarm to something like 225. On a hot day in traffic my coolant temps fluctuate between 188 and 215. I've seen it as high as 220 once on a particular scorcher of a day.

I just checked - I set mine at 210.

I have mine set at 218°F
With a/c off the fan kicks on at 212°F
With a/c on the fan runs most of the time in traffic.

I would set the gauge for around 230 degreees. I have had coolant temps read just above 230 degrees while driving through the desert with ambient around 118 degrees. This is when I reduced speed and even turned off the a/c until the temperatures dropped.
