What type of coolant do I need to use to top off my electric drive?

Hi all,

Noticed recently on my 2014 smart ED that my battery coolant level is just above the min. line on the tank and I was wondering what type of coolant I should be using to top it off. Anyone had experience with that?

Thanks,
TJ

I wouldn't be worried if the coolant level has always been just over the MIN mark, but I would be concerned if it had been higher and dropped to the MIN mark. Where did it go? There should be no change in the coolant level and it is so mildly used that it really is a liquid that I would consider as being a lifetime fluid.

Thanks for the input! I hadn't checked it in quite a while before that so I'm not sure if it fell or if it's been there a while. I'll keep a closer eye on it going forward but, in the meantime, I'd like to top it off to be safe. I'll try to find some of the fluid in your picture.

Thanks!
