The solution is to buy proper wide wheels for it like strikelines, corelines, BRABUS Monoblock VI etc.

1999 cars came with 5.5" wide rear rims and 3.5" wide front rims and were originally fitted with 175/55R15 rear and 135/70R15 front tyres. You could fit 195/50R15 rear and 145/65R15 front tyres to these rim widths.

If you get 4" front rims that were originally fitted to 2000-2007 ForTwos, you could fit 165/60R15 front and 205/60R15 rear tyres. Vredestein Quatrac 5 are available in these sizes.

If you get 4.5" front rims from 451 2007-2014 ForTwos, you could fit 165/60R15 front and 185/55R15 rear tyres. Continental make matching summer and winter tyres in these sizes so might be a good choice. If you get 4.5" steel front rims from the 451, make sure you fit wheels trims or you won't get a visual match for the front and rear steel rims.

Your choice will often depend on the availability of matching tyres. You could also fit 175/55R15 and 195/50R15 tyres to 4.5" and 5.5" rims, but choice of matching tyres in these sizes is rather limited.
