Hello everyone, Just bought a 2009. All the little books I have say smart fortwo coupe and fortwo cabriolet. I'm assuming the car is a coupe. Still reading through the big book I have and learning about the car. One problem I have found is I can't get the drivers seat to move either forward or backwards. It's all the way back and a little uncomfortable to reach the pedals. After looking for a problem, the only thing I can see is there's two little pawls on either side that locks the seat in position. The left side seems out of adjustment, doesn't lift the pawl. I can get my finger on it and push it up but still can't get the seat to move. Is there something I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated.

Driver seat rail stuck all the way back!

Help, I've slid back and I can't get up! :D I moved my seat back all the way to clean/vacuum under it. Now it's stuck all the way back. When I pull up on the handle, the two pins on each side retract up and out of the lower rail. But when I try to move the seat forward, there's a hard stop on...

Check for debris in the tracks. Maybe previous owners ate in the car and detritus a plenty? Also check modules crammed under the seat...

The seat tracks have some kind of debris stuck in them. If you can’t move the seat back-and-forth.
