I am probably going to clean and lube the clutch actuator this weekend and was wondering if the white lithium grease is the absolute best. I use lsp chain and wire rope lubricant on a ton of gearing and worm drives at work at a steel mill and was wondering if it would work better or less than the white lithium grease. It has an operating temperature of 300F and works well every time I've used it. The only thing I'm not sure of is that it's a mineral oil chemical base and didn't know if that would hurt any of the plastic. There's also a dry moly lube that lsp makes that can handle higher temps up to 800-900F. I just want to know what other people have used and why the most common thing is the white lithium grease. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks everyone.
