I came across this Smart 453 on the internet and fell in love with it..

I utilized my people hunting skill and was able to track down to the owner. He told me that his kit was a one of, custom made kit. With the wide body, he had to cut the fenders like RWB, Liberty Walks, and Rocket Bunny body kits. I really like the way it look without exposing rivets like other wide body kits. Anyone likes it here?

My gosh, it's beautiful! It's funny that the widebody makes it as wide as a normal car too.

Does the owner have some extra power in the car to back up those looks?

Per owner, he also had a custom ECU tuning based on stock EU Brabus ECU, in collaboration with a Belgian engineer, he is currently pushing 137PS or 135HP on the car with stock turbo and everything else. He is still trying to squeeze more power out of it, but he told me that with stock 0.9 liter turbo motor, maybe the cap is at 140PS. He would't go further than that, otherwise the reliability may be a concern.

I like it !! IMO, the only wing on a car should be a whale tail on a 911 TURBO, , but somehow it's working ok here too . Lustful looks ...

I like whale tail wings too, but lately swan neck wings (like the one on aventador sv) start growing on me too

Huh, I expected a lot more power given the modifications. This thing looks like it can lay down some serious lap times. That said, I can't hate this car, more power to him! :D

A 50% increase in power on stock parts is very good, especially if there is little/no effect on reliability. Similar gains to what was possible with the cdi remaps. As a comparison that would be like a 500 Abarth making 240 HP with stock parts. Torque numbers would be good to know and if the car is DCT or 5 speed.

Per owner, 205 newton meter with DCT. I think that's around 151 ftlb for us

I am trying to see if it's possible to send my ECU to him and let him tune it for me

I have to applaud anyone making an attempt to make a one off vehicle . Some fail without question . I've seen some real blunders out there, although this one is quite grigarous in nature , it isn't a half assed attempt . That alone give it credibility in my book . Who ever owns this ,obviously enjoys a challenge , and I really don't think they care if we like it or not . I'm just glad I got an eyeful of something I'll probably never see in person. Creativity Lives .

Fair enough! I was thinking about the pure bhp numbers, I wasn't thinking about how that was a 50% jump!!!

I still wonder what kind of lap times can that thing put down though. :D

I will try to ask for some.

Also, my attachment space has used up, do you know if there is anyway I can get extra space without paying for the membership? any other way to post photos without using attachment function?

The wheels/tires have no apparent clearance and the ride quality would be horrendous, at best. And the wing... well, what’s the point?? It’s not like the car needs aerodynamic assistance.

As art, it’s a head-turner (not saying that in a good sense). As a performer, it’s a full-on senseless fail. If uselessly bizzarre makes it worthwhile, then it’s a big win.

That is one sweet car! If you can get your ecu tuned, please let us know! I'm very interested in getting mine tuned and would love to know if he is interested in tuning others!
