So I recently just purchased a 2013 Fortwo Passion. It’s always been a dream to own one. I’m curious on how long time owners handle windy/rain/snow conditions.
I of course live an hour away from civilization and have to always take the interstate. I can feel the pull and I’m getting used to it. But today it’s storming and up to 60mph wind gust. I have to eventually drive today but I’m honestly terrified. It’s been less than a week since I’ve bought this bb.
Please give me tips for today and also just tips in general to help my driving anxiety. Thank you. 🥺

Heavy cross winds may frighten you. Just hold the wheel steady, instead of fighting trying to correct
for the wind. If you have a 451, rear wheel size on all 4 wheels will help, along with good all season
or snow tires. If you have a 453 cross wind abatement is built in to the car computer .................

Heavy cross winds on the highway, were a handing nightmare, in a 451. The little smart car moved along great, in rain storms. The wipers couldn’t keep up. Their was back whip from the right wiper, inside of the A pillar. during heavy rains, with wipers on full blast. The smart tracked fine in fresh powdered snow. It hated snow grooves on the highway, when changing lanes. Anything over 5-6” of snow. Forget wet snow. Just leave the smart car in the garage. I got stuck on the curve at the end of the drive. It is a strange feeling when you spin out of control. Short wheel base. You just circle around your self.

Since Smart cars are rear wheel drive, I throw at least a 40# bag in the back. I've switched between rock salt and sand tubes. Just remember your evasive maneuvers are tailored to rear wheel drive.
I've been just putting my life in the back of the car, lol. But once winter hits I plan on having some kitty litter or something. I really hope I won't get stuck or anything. I'm super nervous.

This is another one of my fears. This is the only car I own and i'm terrified to drive in snow even in a normal sized car. :(
