I can hear it, but even if the tube to the front is disconnected, I just get a spit and dribble.
I intend to replace it, but I'm curious... the MBParts sites all show only one unit (453-860-01-26), but the aftermarket shops show a different pump if you have a rear window spray tip also... So, is there just one pump that always pushes fluid to both? This car is new to me, so I have never seen it work, and I don't know.

I'm pretty sure my 2008 (R.I.P.) used to spit out from both when I asked the stalk for fluid.

Cool, now I know.
I assume that the rest is just plumbing then... a "T" in the hose going to the rear and the front.
I had the front bumper off this past weekend to put an aftermarket grille on and upgrade the horns.
Should have tackled this at the same time. I hope I can reach down and swap the pump out without any major parts removal.

Thanx,
Jim

Problem solved.
Removed the fluid bottle and found some slimy, stringy, algae kind of stuff in the grommet filter and pump.
Blew it out with an air hose, reassembled, and good to go.
Phew. Apparently the previous owner(s) didn't maintain this.
