i have had the car since last December and today was the first time i have had to use the wipers other than intermittent and was startled to see the wipers stop when your not moving. i thought something was wrong and they were shorting out (i knew about the reverse feature). good idea....i think

The oldest car we have that does this was made in 1996, and I'm sure that feature existed before that time as well. All of our other four cars do this. It's handy because when stopped, the windshield doesn't get as wet and prevents having the driver switch it to a slower wiping interval only to have to reset it again when moving.
