The flex pipe is bad on my 2009 Brabus. I’m looking to see what is out there for the Brabus exhaust. I would prefer to buy used and it does not have to be an OEM exhaust

Solo makes a center style exhaust that would fit in the Brabus style center area , it’s supposedly a bit louder than their side exhaust variation ( which we have on our 09 Passion) and it’s got a nice sound IMOP.

How much for the Solo? I saw the Sila Concepts exhaust is $500 on Smart Madness.

$500 Solo . So you have some choice ! . I can attest to the Solo workmanship and quality , it’s top notch . . I actually was contemplating taking off my factory Brabus center exhaust on the 2015 , and putting on a Solo center , just for the sound .

I had my Brabus muffler flex pipe replaced. I sourced an exact flex pipe for about 40 bucks, My custom muffler shop welded it up for 50 bucks.

I did all the work removing it and putting it back on the car myself. So total cost was $90.00 Sure beat buying a new Brabus system for 900 bucks or more.

I used to be a specialist and supplier for Daimler SP250 sports cars which had dual pipes, each with flexible sections. Those original parts used woven steel tubes, which rusted and had limited life.

I bought rhe right size stainless steel flexible tubing from JC Whitney, and cut it to proper length. Then I'd braze it to the original pipe using oxy/acetylene welding gear. The key thing was to use good flux and clean-clean-clean the old parts!

I find stainless flex sections readily available for less money than mentioned. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=flexible+...f=nb_sb_noss_1.

Sounds like a less than $25 repair for the handy types.

Good luck, Bob in KCMO
