175/50/16 22.9" Diameter (rim width 4.5-6.5" wide)
195/40/16 22.1" Diameter (rim width 5.5-7" wide) *this size mounted on all 4 corners; ~0.7" smaller diameter than stock
195/40/17 23.1" Diameter (rim width 5.5-7" wide)
I have personally tried the first 4 options with stock height suspension.
The front wheel on the 16" rim was a 16x6.5 ET 30 (451 wheel spec) But... required a 5mm spacer and the 175/50/16 tire size is not available in USA and had to be shipped in from Germany.
For the 450, getting a proper fitting Front rim wasn't much of a problem since the 451 spec wheels are close, but then you run into getting a proper fitting Rear rim (ET -1, -13) and those are pretty much unobtanium.
On a Stock 4" rim (185/55/15):
On a 16x6.5j rim (175/50/16)
You can see there is very little space in that front wheel arch, and that is a 22.9" Diameter tire.
I have a set of Newton Genius wheels and Tires I will no longer use. Cost about $1000 new. Tires are General Altimax P185/55X15. Have about 4000 miles on them. NO TPMS..!! $500 or Best Offer. No Shipping...but will work on pick up in New England. I live in Keene NH
When I got the Road Warrior, the signal/light stalk was broken but present. Gluing this is not a workable option.
I would like to buy one to fit the 451 Passion Coupe year 2009.
This should be a standard item.
I have seen the new ones and am looking for something less expensive.
