A few weeks ago I noticed the Trunk unlocking sound is weak. Sort of like it's really tired! Recently I did have some battery issues. After charging the 2-year old battery and checking cables, etc. it seems OK now..but the weak trunk opening sound is still there.

Oops! I meant opening the upper tailgate..I just went out and looked for the "latches"..I saw the little levers with bolts and the thick wire looking strap secured to them..so lubing the bolt area will help? It makes an electric puff sort of sound when the latch releases..is there a fuse connected to it? (I'm not mechanically savvy!)
