I’m at about 50,600 miles on my 2011 and recently changed oil, oil filter, and engine air intake filter about 1500 miles ago. Today on my drive home the D indicating the vehicle is in drive started flashing and I’m showing the big and small wrench in the left with the upper one flashing. The gear indicator flashes for all gears in manual and automatic including reverse. No noticeable difference in driving characteristics or handling.
Manual makes it sound like it’s in limp home mode but doesn’t appear to be doing anything differently than it was. Reset the service interval to clear it out and it reset to 10,000 miles but the wrenches stayed visible with the top one flashing and the D is still blinking whenever I put it in gear.
I’m like three hours from a Smart Center so I’d like to fix it myself if possible but not sure what it could be.
I’ve never serviced the transmission as I bought it at 38,000 miles. Maybe due for new transmission fluid? Clutch actuator issue?
