so forgive me for not throwing pics in this right off the hop...im tired and will get to it later tonight or tommaow

the car itself is an 08...specificaly a 02/08...

the options on the car are as weird as ive seen..in fact most of the options ive only seen on 07 UK cars
manual mirrors
manual windows
HEATED grey cloth seats..NO PATTERN(soft and smooth)
6disc changer
ALARM
ABS black plastic roof
NO TWEETERS or sub
2 spoke wheel
steel wheels
red metal flake/black tridon
MB badges(no sign of the old smart ones being removed)
dealer? applied clear 3M bra across hood, front half of fenders and a thin lip of it on the back edge of the doors
NO rain sensor
no fogs
NO airbag stickers on the visors...and no signs of them being removed
TEXTURED BLACK plastic interior door panels..FWIW the "cloth inserts" were all used to seeing are on a WHITE plastic "insert" melted to studs from the back side.......

glove box door
aux input in glovebox

the car raises alot of questions...and ive no answers for it...its the strangest optioned car ive ever seen, and ive not seen the door panels in ANY picture that wasnt a "euro" 07

is it possible it was built as a euro when there was a shortage and it was sent in as was? and simply got a "us" vin?...maybe it was leftover parts?...or just some weird 1 off weird order?....

if it had an "older" build date id question if it was a dealer demo car but the build dates too new

busy busy busy busy

as best i can tell the cars never been apart aside from obvious maintenance, in fact i pulled the switch bank to look at the radio doghouse screw and mount point as those tend to get "tweaked" when they come off..nope looks like its never been touched
all clips, fastners etc look the way they left the factory...im 99% convinced this car is "as delivered"

never mind the seat waterspotting, its how he got it, and its never really been cleaned

the no airbag stickers was a good shock to me the other day

oh right..one of the motor mounts on it has failed and seems to have taken 2 bolts with it....

Those door pockets look identical to the ‘08 at Braven. That is an unusual combo of options. It looks like the PPF may have prevented the paint from peeling?

maybe? it came up from southern oregon where the sun is much more angry.......it has some color fade in a few spots, but aside from neer full roof clear fail the cars body has ZERO clear fail

when he got it it had been COVERED in fake chrome trim, emblems, gills, scoops, and such..it was a huge mess.....i got 90% of it off before it left the small town car lot LOL it was bought n paid for but we had to wait for the lot "owner" to show up for some reason

Yeah, door pockets were plastic in the 08s, and then changed to nets in 09.

I can't remember the last time I've seen such a well equipped pure. Radio 10 and heated seats!

You can order any accessory option, on any model smart car.
Why on a pure, beats me.

One of our Mo-Kan club owners,
had a pure. Fog lamps, and the clock tach pods on the dashboard.
It had crank window, radio delete .

The Mercedes badge was added after delivery by someone. Also, if I remember correctly, the VIN sticker on the 08s delivered early in 2008 said "Daimler-Chrysler", as Mercedes and Chrysler were still one company (hence the Dodge antenna that fits the 451).

We put on a shorty Mopar antenna. The issue with the short ones, traveling out of town Radio reception really degraded.

But weirdly, the shorty Mopar antenna works way better than the even crappier ones on eBay! I think my 2012, which has an antenna from a 2008-ish Jeep, is capable of picking up the local rock station and NPR, that's about it. lol
