If you haven't been to Evilution's web site for more than a week, then you don't know that it is now subscription. All the old articles and many new ones are there in a new format but only the first couple of steps are available without a subscription. To subscribe is £10.00 and is easily paid with Paypal. It comes to $16.72 (at least today.) It will vary with the exchange rate. I have made it a point to donate each year with a $20 bill. It's actually cheaper now for me. I was going to donate again earlier this year but Kane advised me to wait and pay for a subscription, which I just did. He gives an explanation on the site for why it is going to cost to use it and you can read it yourself. I find his site invaluable and gladly subscribe. It's up to you. :D

I realize that old hands will know that I state the obvious here, but I continue from time to time to discover new hands who are not familiar with Evilution.

A year's subscription will cost me less than it does to simply drive into an MB service line. I have not the slightest doubt but that my use of Evilution since I purchased little Munchkin two years ago has provided me more technical info and just good hints with each visit than I have received from MB altogether.

In my opinion Evilution and this forum are a sine qua non for you new smart owners, as it is with us with more experience with them.

Jim

PS: Apparently dollar going up. Now only $16.56.

My ultra gauge is coming..i'll leave my stock speedo right where it is...with the exception of maybe changing the LEDs..

Great site!
It's the supreme tool for everything smart from the tiny city coupe to even the forfour.

Well worth the investment.

Thanks so much for the support guys.
After leaving my ex and having to fund a house on my own I found I had no money to do the site and it was driving me crazy.

After a few chats with fellow owners they suggested making it a paid site.

I'm glad I did, it has allowed me to continue my hobby and further the help I can give to people. Overall it has been a massive success, more than I ever imagined.

I've had a few negative people but you can't please everyone, you'll always get some people who want everything for nothing. Regardless of how much they save themselves by using my site, they are too tight to pay for the privilege.
Only 1 of the 4 was from the US, it said "thanks for locking down the site, dick, I hope you don't make a dime". The annoying thing is, the 2 offensive emailers hide behind fake emails like immature kids.

Well, he is sort of right, I haven't made a dime, it comes through in Great British Pounds.

So, again, thanks very much for the support, it's very much appreciated. I'm glad to be able to carry on doing what I have been for the 9 years before.

I have done nothing to violate the Terms Of Service. Simply stating my opinions is not a violation of this website.

Do me a favor and go READ the TOS again, it will become clear that this site is here to discuss opinions about these cars and the information about them.

I've simply stated my opinions. I'm sorry you don't agree with them.

Now, did you need a hug and a kiss on the forehead?

Where is your website with easy to follow instructions for common issues complete with screen shots? Comparisons of various software, hardware, add-ons? Where do you sell the programs that you have designed yourself? Contact info so I can tell you my specific problem and you can talk me through it?

Cool it down, guys. Kane's trying to help, don't undermine his efforts.

I just subscribed to Evilution. I had made a donation a couple of years back, and haven't needed his help for a while - but it feels good to do something altruistic once in a while. Sooner or later, though, the info Kane has put together through his own experience and expertise will be called upon. Thanks, Kane!
